Did you get out to walk today? If you are fortunate enough to be mobile, you likely made foot (or shoe) contact with the earth. Maybe it was just a short distance across a sidewalk or parking lot on your way to work or school? Or perhaps you traveled over a dirt path or gravel or rocks. If you had the pleasure of going on a walk or hike, you might have traversed over hills, a mountain, through a valley, plains, desert, or by lakes or streams. But on days when we're busy, do we give much thought to where we go? Think about where you walked today. Do you know what was beneath the sidewalk or asphalt before the land was filled with houses, buildings, or streets? Might the land you stepped on been a pastureland, wheat or cotton fields, an orchard, a garden or farm? Or a forest, meadow, or wildlife sanctuary? When the day is done, do you peek into the night sky to see the moon? And this time of year, do you look for the immense “Harvest Moon” as it lights up the ground around you? Such a glorious sight it is! Sometimes we forget to immerse ourselves in nature, even that of our own backyards or city parks. Often, we get so busy looking for "things" to inspire us, that we forget to seek moments of inspiration through God's creation. Where have you walked in God's land of creation today? The gift of His harvest is all around you. Go and seek, for the earth He created lies beneath your feet. <><<><<><<>< “If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit.” – Leviticus 26:3-4 “Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.” – James 3:18 “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” – Genesis 8:22 “The earth has yielded its produce; God, our God, blesses us.” – Psalm 67:6 “Indeed, the Lord will give what is good, And our land will yield its produce.” – Psalm 85:2 “Like the cold of snow in the time of harvest is a faithful messenger to those who send him, for he refreshes the soul of his masters.” – Proverbs 25:13 “And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.” – James 3:18 Photo courtesy of Vecteezy.com

Yes, my friend, I did walk today. I walked in the afternoon, which was very different for me, because, I tend to go out very early in the morning when the sun is just coming up. I had a different view of me neighborhood, Being after noon, every one was in their houses, I do meditate as I walk. Thanks for the words, Love you, Joanne

Good that you got out to walk, Joanne, and that you had a different view of the outdoors today walking at a different time. And meditating as you walk, wonderful and heartfelt thing to do! God's Blessings to you, dear friend!
