Welcome and God's Blessings to You
Spring has arrived, bringing renewal. The oft bleak, gray skies of winter re-dress in a blanket of cornflower blue, and we smile as rays of sun pour down upon the landscape. Renewal feels good, and it is all around us. Blooms on flowers and trees explode in color, birds chatter and sing, and we bask in the warmth of sunshine on our skin. And then, Easter comes, as we give glory to God for Our Risen Lord and the Salvation He has brought to us.
But when the feeling of newness or renewal begins to wane, we may settle into a routine-state-of-being. Returning to tasks that occupy our days or hours, the "routine" can begin to feel mundane. It's like a sameness that takes place between major life events or shifts. I call it living in the "in-between times"—when one day feels like the next, but challenges can still brim to overwhelm.
Life can get “kitchen messy,” you know? (Scrambled, sauteed, even a little crusty around the edges). I’ve been in that kitchen. Perhaps you have, too. But no worries. Help awaits. A “spiritual clean-up cloth” can work wonders.
If you can use a dose of GOODNESS (a bit of hope, encouragement, or optimism), I invite you to indulge in servings of my blog, "One-Page Ponderings of Something Good." Grab a cup of coffee or tea and take a a needed break for a few minutes.
I hope these mini stories with scripture will serve as a "spiritual vitamin" to refresh,
re-energize, and renew your spirit.
