Ready or Not

Remember being "it" in the childhood game of "Hide and Seek?" You covered your eyes, did the countdown, then called out "Ready or not, here I come!" Some of your playmates were ready. Some weren't.    
Fast forward. Present day. Life is no longer a game. Covid19 has spread across the globe. Millions are sickened; thousands die. Stocks plummet, the economy falls, unemployment escalates. Political upheaval,  social unrest, racial tension, rioting, looting, and fires disrupt our society. As these events unfold before our eyes, we may wonder if we are seeing signs of things to come according to the Book of Revelations in the Bible.  

It is a sobering thought.

At no time in history has a virus crippled the entire world as we know it. Other pandemics have raised their ugly heads; however, the magnitude of what we are experiencing is enough to bring many to their knees. What lies ahead? What will the future bring? No one knows.   

The Bible clearly states that Christ will come again. There are those who make predictions as to when this will take place; however, Scripture tells us that no one knows when this time will be. "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." - Matthew 24:36

Matthew 24:42-44 prompts us to be vigilant. "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him." 

Jesus will come again. Ready or not...

If you do not know Jesus as your personal Savior, it's not too late.  John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life."
In John 14:6, Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life."  

God gives us free will to believe in Him--or not. If we seek Him, He already knows where we are, for there are no hiding places from Him. He created each of us with a purpose. His love is unconditional; no matter what has taken place in our lives.

If you do not yet know Jesus Christ and wish to seek Him, ask Him into your heart. Through Him, you have everything to gain and nothing to lose. And His benefits are truly out of this world...
