On the Move
Busy! Sigh. It's one of the most commonly used words in our vocabulary. Do you feel as if you're always busy, always on the move? (I imagine you're nodding your head). Yep. I get it.
I remember what it was like to always be "on the clock" at work or at home. I think of our grown children, who are now doing what we used to do. They are always busy, working long hours to make a living, raising children, taking care of their households, and tending to a million other things.
There were times I wished I could have multi-tasked like the lady in the cartoon drawing--although that many arms might have been funny-looking! (My apology to the Octopus' of the world).
But, if we have use of our five senses and the ability to move our bodies to do what we need to do, we are most fortunate. God created us to be active--to move--to be--to do. We weren't meant to be still-life objects. Thank goodness for that!
Created in God's image, I imagine God's form might look similar to ours (although in my mind, I picture Him much larger). I also don't think He stays still too long. If there is one kind of busy, it is that of the Creator of Heaven and earth!
I try to do the following, and you might find it helpful, too. If the "busy" word comes to your lips, may you feel grateful you have the ability to do the things you need to do. And if you reach "busy-ness" overload, may you call upon God in prayer. He knows your needs before you even ask, and He loves you and cares for you so very much.
So, be alive and move well, but get your rest, too!

"The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters." - Genesis 1:2
"By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work." - Genesis 2:2
