It's Your Choice

     Oh, the choices we make in life our numerous, aren't they? We choose our homes, furnishings, cars, career, clothing, food, spouse, and friends. We choose the way we spend each 24 hours of the day, we choose the paths we take, the places we go. And that's just the beginning.  
     We also have the choice to believe, or not believe, in a Higher Power, Creator, Intelligent Designer of the Universe, or more simply put, God.    
      Some argue that if God exists there would be no suffering, and that bad things would not happen to good people. On the other hand, if our lives were perfect, would we need God? And, if we were perfect beings, would it be because the Creator made us that way? 
       Can you imagine a life where everything is perfect? I can't.     
       God loves us so much that He gave us a choice. You've heard the term. Free will. Check. 
      If there is a God (and I happen to believe there is), would He want to create perfect beings who obey His every command in robotic fashion? I wouldn't think so.  Nor does God wear the hat of Master Puppeteer, controlling our every movement with the pull of a string.
        Instead, God created us to love, and to be loved--to be in a relationship with us as His Heavenly Father.        
       If you are a believer, you know His voice and the presence of his love inside your heart.  
       If you (or someone you know), is not a believer, it's not too late. A simple "Yes" will do. God wants you to know how much He loves you. He promises never to leave or forsake you. And His promises--well, they're truly "out of this world." 
       The One who created you loves you. But back to free will. To believe or not believe. It's your choice.

     Dear God, I am praying today for anyone who has not yet made the decision to believe. May they seek answers to the questions that lie deep in their hearts, and may that search lead to You, as you patiently, and lovingly, wait for them to come to You. - In Jesus' Name, Amen.
